Who is the Award Winning Fuquay-Varina Jeep® Club?

In a town known for its charm, community spirit, and love of all things outdoors, one organization has steadily climbed into the regional spotlight: the Fuquay-Varina Jeep® Club — also affectionately known as the Fuquay-Varina Ducks or FVDDJ. Recently recognized with community awards for their vision, values, and outstanding partnership work, the club has become one of the area’s most influential grassroots nonprofits. As of 2025, the club has raised over $51,000 for various charities and causes.Founded as a gathering place for Jeep enthusiasts across Fuquay-Varina and the greater Wake County area, the club has grown into a fully recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated not only to adventure but to service. Their members are easily identifiable by the rubber ducks perched on dashboards, bright custom decals, and a spirit of camaraderie that makes even first-time attendees feel welcome. But beneath the fun, the Fuquay-Varina Jeep® Club has developed a reputation for something even more impactful: community leadership and tangible support for worthy causes.________________________________________ A Mission Rooted in Service The club organizes a steady calendar of meetups, trail rides, and signature events including Show & Shine competitions, Charity Poker Runs, “Go Topless Day,” and raffle fundraisers. These gatherings are less about showing off vehicles and more about mobilizing people to support others in need. Over the years, their fundraising efforts have supported a variety of charities:• In 2022, FVDDJ raised $10,005 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. • In 2023, they raised $10,121.73, benefitting several local charities including Military Missions in Action (MMIA), Special Olympics North Carolina, and Shine Like Hailey Foundation. • In 2024, $13,715.92 was raised. The beneficiaries included Special Olympics NC, the St. Baldrick's Foundation (supporting childhood cancer research), Shine Like Hailey Foundation, and a fundraiser for a fellow “Jeeper” who was battling breast cancer. \• In 2025, they had their largest fundraising total to date, raising $17,521.82. Causes supported were St. Baldrick’s Foundation, Nick Morris Memorial (a fundraiser to support a local family after the tragic loss of their husband, father, Nick Morris), Special Olympics NC, Relay for Life for fellow Jeeper Kimi Quinn, The Rescue for PTSD, American Legion Post 116, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, Special Olympics of Durham County, and Facilitate Rescue.________________________________________ Why the Club Stands Out In a region full of car clubs and hobby groups, what sets this organization apart is its unique blend of philanthropy and fellowship:• A family-friendly culture: Events are designed to be inclusive, welcoming kids, pets, and newcomers without pressure or expectation.• Signature branding: The Ducks theme brings a playful charm — from duck giveaways to themed decorations at events. This fun, welcoming vibe helps break down barriers and draw in supporters who might never normally attend a Jeep event.• Hands-on service: Members don’t just write checks. They show up, volunteer, lift, haul, deliver, and support. The club’s motto “Ducking for a Cause” reflects their approach of rolling up their sleeves. • Partnership mindset: Local businesses and nonprofits often describe the club as “a partner you can count on,” citing reliability and professionalism. The club’s goals show a commitment to deeper collaborations with multiple 501(c)(3) organizations. ________________________________________ Award-Winning for a Reason Their recent accolades — including awards for community partnership, vision, and organizational values — highlight the impact the club continues to make. The honors, presented by local civic groups and event organizers, cited their consistency, leadership, and ability to rally volunteers at a moment’s notice. For the Fuquay-Varina Jeep Club, however, the recognition serves as motivation rather than a finish line.“We’re just getting started,” club leaders often say — a statement echoed by the energy of their members and the growing size of their events.________________________________________ Driving Forward As 2026 approaches, the club has set its sights on expanding outreach, strengthening partnerships, and continuing to serve as a catalyst for good in the Fuquay-Varina area.In a community where big hearts and big vehicles go hand in hand, the Fuquay-Varina Jeep Club stands out as proof that passion — when pointed in the right direction — can move mountains. Or at the very least, a whole lot of Jeeps.
________________________________________ How Businesses and Community Members Can Get Involved As the club’s impact grows, so does the need for community support — something businesses and residents have embraced with enthusiasm.“There’s a role for everyone,” said one board member. “You don’t need to drive a Jeep to make a difference.”For Local BusinessesBusinesses can get involved through:• Partnerships & SponsorshipsFrom small contributions to full-event sponsorships, local companies help offset event costs and boost fundraising totals.• In-Kind DonationsItems for raffles, giveaways, and silent auctions remain one of the club’s most powerful fundraising tools.• Hosting Pop-Up Events or MeetupsBreweries, restaurants, coffee shops, and retail stores often partner with the club to host gatherings that draw hundreds of participants.“It’s one of the easiest partnerships we’ve ever had,” said a local business owner. “They bring people, they bring positivity, and they bring purpose.”Get involved today!
